Hello my name is Sandra. I am a biologist and have always worked with the environment.

When we arrived in Lençois in July 1999, I dedicated myself to the construction of the pousada, paying careful attention to the environmental and social issues involved. After a short period of time, I became involved in local environmental activities, organizing events and workshops on the Chapada Diamantia National Park and working with a local NGO, Institution Barro-Branco (IBBIO).

Now,  I started another project: planting a herb garden, an endevour to start a line of natural medicinal, cosmetic and therapeutic products- Produtos Naturais da Vila.

Hi, my name is Chris. Since my first around-the-world trip at 19, the travel bug has definitely stung me. I travelled the world and the seven seas, visiting more than 40 countries of our blue planet and immersing myself in exotic cultures. These incredible encounters, experiences and adventures have fascinated me. On these trips I met countless kind and helpful people with their incredible hospitality. It is this hospitality that I would like to pass on now, to you, as a guest in my little oasis. I'm originally from Zurich, Switzerland and in addition to my Swiss German dialect, you can talk to me in  English, German, Portuguese, Spanish and French. I'm looking forward to meeting you.
